Methodology. Ranks 1 to 5 use TurnTable’s H1 2026 artist streaming totals as reported by Techloy. Only five H1 figures were published in the sources we could open, so ranks 6 to 10 use the order of TurnTable’s Q1 2026 list and carry no stream counts. Q1 figures differ across reposts of that list, so we quote none of them. Tracklists are not exhaustive. They name only tracks confirmed by chart reports, Wikipedia or press coverage.

The top Nigerian artists of 2026

Asake leads Nigerian music in 2026. His fourth album, M$NEY, arrived on 30 April and took No. 1 on TurnTable’s album chart for the week of 15 to 21 May, ahead of Drake’s ICEMAN.

The rest of the top five is a tight race. Wizkid, Seyi Vibez and Fola each streamed between 374 and 455 million times in H1, and Mavo reached 319 million after a No. 1 start to the year with Ckay.

Collaboration drives this list. Asake’s two longest No. 1 runs of the year are team-ups with Wizkid and DJ Snake, Fola reached No. 1 twice with Shoday and Ayra Starr, and four Nigerian acts landed on FIFA’s World Cup 2026 album.
