The involvement of both artists goes beyond a guest appearance. Tems has been named the soundtrack’s executive music producer and curator, while Burna Boy is serving as executive music consultant. Tems has also contributed three original songs to the project.
The soundtrack is expected to bring together more African talent, including Fireboy DML, BNXN and Ayra Starr. Its story is set in the West African-inspired kingdom of Orïsha, where a young woman embarks on a dangerous mission to restore the magic stolen from her people.
The movie is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on January 15, 2027.
