Joshua Baraka & Tiwa Savage Release New Single “Commando”
Ugandan singer Joshua Baraka has teamed up with Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Tiwa Savage for a new collaboration titled “Commando.” The song arrived on October 29, 2026, bringing together two artists from different parts of Africa’s music scene.
Originally teased ahead of its release, “Commando” generated excitement after a preview circulated online and attracted a strong response from listeners. The reception reportedly encouraged Joshua Baraka to move the song’s release forward rather than wait until November.
The collaboration is also part of the rollout for Baraka’s upcoming seven-track EP, Recess II, scheduled for November 12, 2026. “Commando” appears as the project’s second track, with Baraka handling production himself. The record was mixed and mastered by Hendrick Sam.
The song brings together Baraka’s East African Afropop sound and Tiwa Savage’s established Afrobeats presence, marking another cross-border link between Uganda and Nigeria.
Fans can now stream “Commando” ahead of the arrival of Recess II.
