Joshua Baraka Announces ‘Recess II’ EP Featuring Tiwa Savage, Mr Eazi, Axon & Watendawili
Ugandan singer and songwriter Joshua Baraka is set to return with a new project titled ** Recess II **, scheduled for release on November 12, 2026.
The seven-track EP follows his previous Recess project and brings together an exciting lineup of African artists. The guest appearances include Nigerian Afrobeats stars Tiwa Savage and Mr Eazi, Ugandan singer Axon, and Kenyan music collective Watendawili.
One of the major highlights is “Commando,” featuring Tiwa Savage, which was released ahead of the EP on October 29. The collaboration pairs Joshua Baraka’s smooth, soulful vocals with Tiwa Savage’s distinctive Afrobeats delivery, giving fans an early taste of what to expect from the project.
With artists from Uganda, Nigeria and Kenya involved, Recess II brings different sounds and musical influences together while further expanding Baraka’s reach across the African music scene.
The EP is scheduled to arrive on November 12 under exclusive licence to Moves Recordings.
