Kirk Franklin & Davido Deliver Live Performance of “Hope In You” on From The Block
Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Davido and American gospel legend Kirk Franklin have joined forces for a special live performance of their collaboration, “Hope In You,” on the popular music platform From The Block.
The duo brought their musical chemistry to the performance, blending Kirk Franklin’s contemporary gospel sound with Davido’s signature Afrobeats delivery. Davido also adds Nigerian flavour to the record with Yoruba and Pidgin expressions, making the collaboration an interesting meeting of two musical worlds.
“Hope In You” appears on Kirk Franklin’s latest album, I Am What I Am, released on October 30, 2026. The 14-track project features additional appearances from Jelly Roll, GloRilla, Tobe Nwigwe, Karen Clark Sheard and Tim Rogers.
The collaboration highlights Davido’s versatility and his willingness to explore sounds beyond his usual Afrobeats territory, while Kirk Franklin continues to connect gospel music with different generations and audiences.
