Solana & Killertunes Release New Single “Okunkun”
Nigerian singer-songwriter Solana joins forces with award-winning record producer and musician Killertunes on a new single titled “Okunkun,” released on June 19, 2026.
Built around Yoruba expressions and atmospheric Afrofusion production, “Okunkun” explores themes of faith, uncertainty and emotional resilience. The song’s title translates to “darkness” in Yoruba, reflecting its central message of finding hope, guidance and strength during difficult moments.
Killertunes provides an atmospheric production that blends soulful melodies, electronic elements and Yoruba-inspired sounds, giving Solana room to deliver the song’s reflective message.
According to Solana, “Okunkun” was written from a deeply personal place, describing it as a quiet conversation with herself and God. The record also highlights the creative chemistry between the singer and Killertunes, who have collaborated on previous releases.
