Inside The Future Album
IceKing Ochacho has been attracting attention through his early releases and growing presence in the Nigerian music scene. His single “No Competition” surpassed one million Spotify streams in early October, providing a boost in visibility ahead of the album’s release.
The title The Future also carries a personal connection. According to reports, Nigerian superstar Davido previously described IceKing as “the future” of Afrobeats after seeing him perform at the Ochacho Carnival in Otukpo, Benue State, in 2020. IceKing was seven years old at the time.
With this debut album, the young artist is taking another step towards establishing his own musical identity, combining Afrobeats and hip-hop influences across a full-length project.
