Nigerian Afropop singer and songwriter Yarden is preparing to open a new chapter in his career with the release of his debut album, ANGEL, scheduled to arrive on October 30, 2026, through Etins Records.
The upcoming project contains 13 tracks and brings together elements of Afropop, Afrosoul and Alternative R&B, reflecting Yarden’s interest in blending contemporary sounds with nostalgic musical influences. According to the album announcement, the project will feature guest appearances from dxtiny, Kemuel and Fimi.
Yarden’s ‘ANGEL’ Album Explores Different Sides of His Sound
With ANGEL, Yarden looks to showcase more than one dimension of his artistry. The project is described as moving across different moods and musical directions, touching on romance, intimacy, vulnerability, confidence and playful expression rather than sticking to a single theme.
The combination of Afropop, Afrosoul and Alternative R&B gives the singer room to explore melodic songwriting while drawing from both nostalgic influences and modern production. The guest appearances from dxtiny, Kemuel and Fimi are also expected to introduce different vocal styles and textures to the 13-track project.
Although the complete track-by-track details are not available in the accessible listing, the album announcement presents ANGEL as an important step in Yarden’s development as an artist.
“SDF (So Damn Fine)” Leads the Way for ‘ANGEL’
Ahead of the album, Yarden released “SDF (So Damn Fine)” on October 16, 2026. Produced by Wondah and released through Etins Records, the single also appears on ANGEL, giving listeners an early taste of the project’s musical direction.
Built around a catchy hook and a smooth, groove-driven instrumental, “SDF (So Damn Fine)” blends contemporary Afrobeats with retro-pop and R&B influences. The song centres on attraction and admiration, with Yarden using his melodic delivery to keep the record playful and easy to connect with.
Its nostalgic production and concise songwriting offer a glimpse of the sound Yarden is exploring on ANGEL, while leaving room for the album to move into other moods and styles.
